Questions and answers

What agencies ask before using AuditCrawl

Short answers first. If something here is not true of the product today, we would rather say so than leave it out.

Who is AuditCrawl for?

Marketing and web agencies and freelance SEO consultants who manage websites for clients. You add each client site, and each client gets a monthly report under your agency's name. It also works for one business checking its own site.

Does it integrate with Google Search Console?

Yes. You connect Search Console from inside the app with Google sign-in. The access is read-only (the webmasters.readonly scope), you can disconnect at any time, and it adds real clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position for the client's property. It is optional; without it, positions are estimates from third-party search result data. How to connect Search Console.

Do I need to install tracking code or have access to the client's site?

No. AuditCrawl reads the public site the way Google and AI crawlers do, and asks the AI assistants questions from the outside. There is no script to install and no login to the client's CMS or hosting. Connecting Search Console or analytics is optional.

How accurate are the AI visibility scores?

AI answers vary from run to run, so each buyer question is asked several times (2 or 3 runs per question depending on plan) with web search on. The margin of error shown on the plans is ±16 pts at 5 questions × 2 runs, ±9 pts at 10 × 3, and ±5 pts at 15 × 3. One month is a snapshot; the trend over several months is what to watch. The report lists the exact questions and answers, so nothing is hidden inside a score. Compare plans.

How often is the data refreshed?

Monthly. A full crawl, the AI answers, Google data and new page screenshots are refreshed on the 1st of each month. AI crawler access (whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot and others can fetch the site) is also checked weekly, with alerts. Pro adds a second AI recommendation check each month.

What does it cost?

Free during the private beta. After the beta, planned pricing is per client site per month: Essentials $10, Growth $20, Pro $30. Month to month, and beta agencies hear about pricing before anything changes. See what each plan includes.

How is it different from traditional SEO audit tools?

Traditional tools report where a site ranks on Google and what is technically wrong. AuditCrawl also asks ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini the questions buyers ask, records whether they recommend your client and who they name instead, and shows on each page why. Google rankings and technical checks are included, but they are one part of it. AuditCrawl is newer and smaller than the established suites; if you need backlink indexes or keyword databases at that scale, those tools do things AuditCrawl does not. Compare white-label SEO and AI visibility tools.

What does my client actually see?

A monthly report with your agency's name, logo and color: whether AI recommends them, what changed, who AI names instead, and what you are doing next. They open it from a private link with no login. You can preview it, or review before send on Pro.

Can I white-label the reports?

Yes. You set your agency's name, logo and color once; every client report and report email uses them, and AuditCrawl appears only as a small footer credit. Removing that credit is a Pro feature.

Is it suitable for local service businesses like plumbers and dentists?

It works for any business with a public website whose buyers ask AI assistants for recommendations, and local service businesses fit that. The sample report is for a made-up local HVAC company so it can be shared freely. We have not yet published results for a local-service client; our real audits so far are software and web-services sites.

Who makes the fixes?

You or your client. Every finding becomes a task with a ready-made AI prompt (what is wrong, what buyers ask, what to change, and rules against made-up facts). Mark it live when it is published; the next monthly crawl checks it and marks it verified.

Can I use it from Claude Code?

Yes. Create a token in Settings and add the MCP endpoint to Claude Code; it can then read your clients' overviews, tasks, evidence and Search Console data and update tasks as you work. Step-by-step setup.

Which AI assistants do you check?

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, on every plan.

Does AuditCrawl connect to other SEO platforms like Semrush or SE Ranking?

No. There is no integration with third-party SEO platforms today. AuditCrawl produces its own white-label reports; connecting Search Console and Claude Code (MCP) are the integrations that exist.
