The 2026 SEO monitoring website report: what 9 SEO tool sites say they offer

A small, hand-limited study: we looked at the homepage and about page of 9 well-known SEO tool websites and recorded which of 8 features each one mentions. It measures what sites say on those two pages, not what the products can do. Read the method before you cite a number.

Key findings

  • Competitor analysis (6 of 9, 67%) and AI visibility tracking (5 of 9, 56%) were the most-mentioned features on these two pages.
  • White-label branding was mentioned by 1 of 9 (11%), even though agencies are a common buyer for these tools. Whether the other eight offer it elsewhere on their sites was not checked.
  • None of the 9 mentioned monthly reports, Search Console integration or heading-structure checking on the homepage or about page. This does not mean the products lack them: many are documented on feature or help pages we did not read.

Method and sample size

  • Sample: 10 SEO tool sites were chosen by us (ahrefs.com, semrush.com, moz.com, screamingfrog.co.uk, surferseo.com, clearscope.io, rankwatch.com, searchmetrics.com, serpstat.com, seobility.net). Results exist for 9; which one dropped out was not recorded. This is a convenience sample of well-known vendors, not a random sample of the market.
  • Pages read: the homepage (/) and the about page (/about) of each site.
  • Features: monthly reports, AI visibility tracking, white-label branding, Google Search Console integration, keyword clustering, competitor analysis, page speed testing, heading structure checking. A site counts as 1 if those pages mention the feature, 0 if not. The check was automated text analysis by AuditCrawl; we did not manually verify each match.
  • Date: October 2026. No earlier year was collected, so there is no year-over-year comparison, and we do not extrapolate to the wider market.
  • Per-site results were not retained, so we publish only the totals and do not attribute any finding to a named company.

Limits

Two pages per site understate what products offer. A feature missing from a homepage may be central to the product. Small counts (1 of 9) move by 11 points with one site. Treat this as a snapshot of marketing messaging. AuditCrawl is a publisher of this report, not a subject of it: it was not among the 9.
